She is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Board of Registration in Medicine and is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture – the oldest acupuncture school in the US, which is now part of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) in Worcester. She is trained in both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture, as well as many adjunct therapies including moxibustion, cupping, electro-stim and tuina. Jen’s particular specialties and interests lie in the treatment of chronic and acute pain, stress and anxiety, infertility and women’s issues, and migraine headache.
Jen spends most of her other time with her husband and their three children. As a family they enjoy skiing, hiking and playing sports. Jen is also an avid runner and triathlete, and has done many half marathons, marathons and triathlons. Jen enjoys learning new ways to provide a healthy upbringing for her children, and she is a strong home birth advocate. Prior to becoming an acupuncturist and opening Body Therapeutics, Jennifer was a Certified Public Accountant and also taught Aikido and Zen meditation for many years. It was the combination of martial arts and meditation training, her business background, along with her Chinese Medicine education that inspired the creation of Body Therapeutics.
